Generations Child Development Center is committed to providing an inclusive and enriching care and educational environment for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. In our classrooms, we seek to provide an experience that recognizes and fosters each child’s potential, respects the diversity of families, supports family members in their multiple roles, and values family involvement. Our team of staff seeks to provide a loving, nurturing, and secure environment in which young children can grow, learn, and thrive. In collaboration with our co-located Adult Day Health Center, Senior Center and Assisted Living, we strive to offer young children intergenerational opportunities that can provide them a rich and diverse social experience filled with moments of joy and connection.
Generations Child Development Center is a Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) provider.

What is Triple P?

When you’re a parent, everyone has advice. But with so many conflicting opinions around, how do you know what’s best and what works?

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is a world-acclaimed parenting program that gives you the skills to manage misbehavior and prevent problems from happening in the first place.

From toddler tantrums to a teenager’s defiance, from bedtime dramas to outright disobedience, Triple P helps you work through the issues that affect families everywhere.

To understand how Triple P works, think of it as a toolbox of ideas. You choose the tools you want to make your family life better. You can adapt Triple P’s ideas to suit your culture, beliefs and personal situation, using them to build better relationships with your child, solve problems, become a more confident mom or dad – and give your child the best start to life.

Another great benefit of the Triple P program is that it only gives you the amount of help you really need. So you can choose anything from a one-off seminar to detailed group courses or personal support. And you can be confident that Triple P works. It has more than 30 years' ongoing scientific research to back it up and is now used in 25 countries around the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm.
We do offer 2 and 3 day/week slots. Schedules are as follows: 3 days/week MWF or MTW; 2 days/week TTh or ThF. 4 days/week is considered full-time enrollment. We currently do not offer 1/2 day slots.
We believe that children are capable and competent learners who create their own knowledge out of hands-on experiences with classroom materials. The children at Generations spend the majority of their days engaged in the play of their choice, and the teachers support this play to ensure that learning is happening throughout the day. Classrooms also support learning through projects related to the children's interests rather than prescribed units or themes.
